“I heard you outside by the fire, but when I looked I only saw the fire. I called for you, then thought you went out to find a bush to pee or something. It’s been like 20 minutes, where were you?”

“I swear I don’t know what’s up right now, you’re kinda freaking me out. I never left! I was watching a shooting star, then you started calling for me. I didn’t go anywhere!”

“So you’re good? Stop scaring me! And go to sleep, we got a long day tomorrow.

How could I not hear calling me for twenty minutes? She must have dreamt that I woke her up.

Meh, long day. Fire’s out. I’m out, as well.

First time I realised I can recall any memory from the past, I was trying to remember a song. It became like watching video recordings, I could vividly recollect any scene, down to the tiniest detail. As a game, I started smell journeys through various memories. Other times I sped through events for a few second flash version of my college years. It was hard to explain so I didn’t tell many people about this.

Is that a broken branch? Someone must have marked a path. Reminds me of this story I read… Holy shit! I can recall the pages! How can I remember every detail? There’s a stain on this corner of this page. I remember now, the extra spaces on this page annoyed the crap out of my ocd. Each double space pops out of the page, like a qr code, or a cluster of dots. I don’t remember noticing this when I was reading, just the annoyance of the few double spaced words on this page.

“What is this?”

I’m looking at the white piece of paper where I penciled in about a dozen dots. Each dot is in the same position where a double-space was, in the book I read when I was sixteen. I got used to the freaky reality of vividly remembering every moment of my life, even dreams. Now I’m reading books and watching videos like I’m uploading and installing skills in my brain. Where was this skill when I struggled in school? Would I have become some Einstein 2? Wait a second… What if I study everything ever published, could I solve problems easier? Can a brain load up all of humanity’s knowledge? Only one way to find out.
